The FDA has approved an expanded pediatric indication for Xyzal (levocetirizine dihydrochloride, from UCB and Sanofi-aventis) to include the relief of symptoms associated with perennial allergic rhinitis and the treatment of the uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in children 6 months of age.
