Trouble Swallowing (Dysphagia)

There are many ways one can go about describing dysphagia and how to go about evaluating this condition. One can talk about the 4 stages of swallowing (oral preparation, oral, pharyngeal, and esophageal) and the problems that can occur at each of these stages. However, a much simpler way of thinking about dysphagia is whether it is a "physical" problem or a "functional" problem and where does it occur.
