tinyurl.com

This is story of our daughter Taylor, her profound hearing loss, and the journey of getting and learning to utilize cochlear implants. She has congenital deafness due to the Connexin 26 gene mutation. Taylor's deafness was diagnosed at 12 months. She received Nucleus Freedom bilateral cochlear implants at 14 months at the Hough Ear Institute and is receiving auditory verbal therapy at Hearts for Hearing. She has had the Nucleus 5 processors since 3 months post-activation.
