Quercetin is a flavonoid that has demonstrated anti-viral properties against a wide range of viral infections, including the flu. In the current cell study quercetin was shown to reduce viral replication of the dengue fever virus by 67%. Quercetin does not appear to have direct anti-viral properties or to prevent viral entry into cells.
