Pancreatitis caused diabetes? - TuDiabetes

I'm a newbie, only two days old to my new Diabetic world. In 2000, 7 weeks after giving birth to my daughter, I suffered from Acute Pancreatitis caused by gallstones. (I subsequently had my gallbladder removed) I was very sick and in ICU for a little over two weeks. I had been having gallstone attacks(undiagnosed) for almost two years prior to this final attack that sent me to the hospital.
