New Use of HIV Medication May Prevent Transmission - ABC News

Antiretroviral drugs given as treatment of HIV/AIDS may prevent HIV infection if taken before exposure to the virus, according to a new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine Tuesday, which offered the first indication that an oral method can prevent the spread of HIV among those at high risk for the disease.
