On Monday, the American Academy of Neurology added its voice to the ongoing debate about concussions and how soon athletes should be allowed to return to competition. The group recommended that before returning to sports, any athlete suspected of suffering a concussion be evaluated by a neurologist or physician who is specially trained in the evaluation and treatment of brain trauma.
