National Stroke Association: Stroke Risk Factors - Am I at Risk for a Stroke?

The National Stroke Association offers a list of risk factors that can increase the likelihood of an individual experiencing a stroke. Some risk factors are uncontrollable; however, awareness and attention to controllable risk factors for stroke can help those at a higher risk to be more mindful of neurological health.

Researchers believe shared risk factors among members of this population are to blame.
