MI severity declines

The severity of incident MIs has dropped significantly in the US over a 15-year period, a new analysis of the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study has shown. This has likely contributed to a decline in deaths rates from CHD, say the researchers. (Myerson M et al. Circulation; published online before print January 19, 2009.)
