Life after a Double Mastectomy - WEGO Health

I had a double mastectomy with no reconstruction on January 14th, 2008. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time in 2004, I did my best to avoid having a mastectomy. I was in shock from the breast cancer diagnosis and the thought of having such a major surgery just didn't seem right to me. I went through 5 brutal days of Mammosite radiation.
