We're so accustomed to hearing about kids who can't eat peanuts that we tend to forget about grown-ups who are allergic to certain foods. Shellfish allergies such as Marion Barry's are the most common food allergy affecting adults and among the most likely to strike otherwise healthy adults out of the blue.
