Is Insulin Resistance the primary cause of Type 2? - TuDiabetes

I have read many posts on this subject. I continue to have lingering questions though. I have read posts by Type-2's who have reduced huge amounts of weight and achieved normal to near normal BMI, followed a strict low carb controlled diet, but yet continue to deteriorate in their BG numbers. They do not exhibit positive anti-bodies and are not LADA and have normal C-Peptide I found a article on early insulin intervention for Type 2's at the ADA where it mentioned a 4-5% loss of beta cell functi
