diet.co.uk — “American Heart Association stated that teenagers must reduce their daily salt consumption to 1,500 millgrams to avoid the likelihood of heart problems as adults. The American Heart Association recommends that a 3,000 milligram reduction in sodium in the diet of teenagers can lower the risk of heart problems like hypertension as well as other coronary heart disease conditions by 30 to 43 per cent upon reaching adulthood.” View full resource at diet.co.uk
