Implanon: British Pregnancy Scare Overblown? U.K. Women Report Unwanted Pregnancies with Contraceptive - ABC News

Several hundred U.K. women have reported unwanted pregnancies associated with an implantable contraceptive device, Implanon. Given the millions of these devices used by U.K. women over the years, these unwanted pregnancies are actually an expected part of the .05 percent failure rate of the device. Implanon maker Merck & Co. is backing the product as still one of the most effective means of birth control.
