Former Governor Kathleen Blanco was diagnosed with a rare eye cancer in June. At the time Blanco Spokeswoman Marie Centannie says the cancer, called Chorodial Melanoma was discovered during an eye exam. About six in one million people are diagnosed with the cancer.
