FDA sends out warning letters about unapproved nitroglycerin

Around 80% of nitroglycerin tablets dispensed in the US last year were unapproved products, due to ambiguity about drugs developed before the FDA was founded, in 1938. The agency has now warned two companies that they must stop making and shipping their unapproved drugs.
