Facial Nerve Paralysis - Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals

The muscles that control the side of the face and allow us to smile, cry and wink are known as the facial nerve. Problems with the facial nerve may result in facial nerve paralysis, the most common cause being Bell's palsy.
