Excellus: CNY stroke care cost $36 million over three-year period
  The average annual hospital costs for stroke care totaled more than $135 million in upstate New York from 2006 to 2008. Annual hospital costs for stroke care in Central New York averaged $36 million during the same time period. The findings are part of a new report Excellus BlueCross BlueShield released today. Rochester-based Excellus is Central New York's largest health insurer.
