Enoxaparin more cost-effective than UFH in fibrinolysis for STEMI

A new analysis of the EXTRACT-TIMI 25 trial concludes that enoxaparin is slightly cheaper in the long term than unfractionated heparin for STEMI patients undergoing thrombolysis. But there are questions as to why 30-day data and not one-year results were used to model long-term cost-effectiveness.
