Study: Sleep gets better with age, not worse

eurekalert.org — “The results challenge the conventional wisdom that difficulty sleeping is perceived more by older adults, and challenge the general clinical practice of ignoring sleep complaints from older adults as a normal part of aging. Researchers say once you factor out things like illness and depression, older people should be reporting better sleep. If not, they need to talk to their doctor. They shouldn't just ignore it.View full resource at eurekalert.org

Clean indoor air laws encourage bans on smoking at home

eurekalert.org — “There has been concern that clean indoor air laws might encourage smokers to smoke more in their homes or other private venues. Children living in a home with an adult smoker are up to twice as likely to take up smoking themselves. A study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine concludes that strong clean indoor air laws are associated with large increases in voluntary smoke-free policies in the home, as well.View full resource at eurekalert.org
