With more and more controversy building around cholesterol-lowering statin drugs, one would be forgiven for feeling like a lamb entering a lion’s den when you next visit your doctor to discuss your heart health. Especially, since researchers recently also dreamed up the discovery of ‘super bad cholesterol’, called MGmin-LDL cholesterol... and they’re planning to treat it with a widely-prescribed diabetes drug, metformin.
