Bedwetting happens when a child, while asleep, urinates and wets the bed. Hence, the name bedwetting. Most cases of bedwetting among children are caused by the lack of control on the bladder. That is, the child, while sleeping, cannot hold in the urine until he reaches the toilet. The medical term for such bedwetting is primary nocturnal enuresis.
