Hypoglycemia continues to be the most difficult problem facing most patients, families, and caregivers who deal with the management of type 1 diabetes on a daily basis. Frequent hypoglycemia episodes not only can ruin, or adversely impact the quality of life for patients, but also, when severe, can cause seizures, coma, and even death.
