AIDS: 30-Year Battle Continues With New Hope - ABC News

This week marks the 30th anniversary of the reports of the first cases of HIV/AIDS, although in 1981, it was believed to be a rare form of pneumonia. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released new data today that tracks the progression of the disease, and hails the progress that's been made in extending the lifespan of HIV patients.
