In 2008, Dr. Zamboni and his research colleagues began publishing findings referencing something called chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI). In other words, constriction of the blood vessels leaving the brain and spinal cord may contribute to nervous system damage in multiple sclerosis.
