Can exercise cause high blood sugar? - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.org — “Well today I felt pretty good, so I mowed the lawn and than went for a long walk. Bg before all this exercise was good so went about my work while keeping hydrated with H2o. When all my work was done(6 hours later) I checked again so I could eat dinner and was shocked to see that it was high. I figured all the exercise would of brought it down or at least kept it down. Check blood sugar - When is 2 hours after meal? - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.com — “Everything says to check blood glucose 2 hours after a meal, but when exactly does that 2 hours begin. I typically do it 2 hours after I take my insulin, so if I am high, I wait to eat until my blood sugar has dropped. I read something that says you should check BG 2 hours after your first bite and your meal should never last more than 30 minutes. They said that way you see how your body is reacting to the food. What do you find to be the most correct or works best for you?View full resource at tudiabetes.com

Having a Hard Time with Carbs/Blood Sugar Levels - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.org — “About 6 months ago, I went on a somewhat low carb diet, cutting out most grains and starches, eating limited fruits, and lots of protein and healthy fats. It's based on what I have read regarding a primal/paleo diet, (mostly following guidelines on Marksdailyapple.com), as well as some advice from Dr. Bernstein. As far as my A1c's, weight maintenance, and energy levels are going, it's been a lifesaver. tudiabetes.org — “OK...I love chocolate. Dove makes a good sugar free dark chocolate, but its expensive, not easy to find and frankly I prefer milk chocolate. I've tried making my own several times with disappointing results. So my question is this...Which one is the better choice (blood sugar speaking). Here are the facts:Russell Stover (partial nutritional info)View full resource at tudiabetes.org

Delay in sensor readings - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.org — “Those of you on the CGMS, how long do you find the delay between the reading you get when you take your blood sugar and when it shows up on your pump as the same or close to it? I hope you understand what I'm getting at. I may not have worded that well. I am finding a disparity of about an hour between my actual blood sugar reading and the reading I am getting on my pump from the sensor. I find it quite frustrating and wonder if I am alone with this annoyance. I also find the pump reading to nevView full resource at tudiabetes.org
