    " />

    Arnold Klein

Since opening his private practice in 1975, Dr. Arnold William Klein has offered the very best in dermatology and cosmetic surgery. Widely regarded as the father of modern cosmetic dermatology, he pioneered the field of minimally invasive aesthetics and developed the injection techniques for Botox, Collagen, and Restylane.

Dr. Klein realized the value of skin's beauty at a very early age, when he suffered severe burns, causing him to wear long sleeves until he turned 21 years old. The burns also opened his eyes to aesthetics, as he began to envision and appreciate various forms of beauty. In the 1960s, under the influence of Andy Warhol and Louie Kahn, he developed a love of the visual arts. When he came to California for his internship, he met a seminal group of artists -- including John Baldessari, Frank Gehry, Robert Graham, Ed Rusha and Ed Moses -- that further influenced his perspective on beautiful forms, especially the human face. His precise, refined technique reflects this artistic sensibility and makes him unique among cosmetic dermatologists.

Not only does Dr. Klein run a very busy, prestigious practice, he also volunteers as a Professor of Medicine and Dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Additionally, the UCLA Division of Dermatology named an endowed chair in his honor in 2004.

In 2010, Dr. Klein was named a consultant to the FDA.
