Resource Description:
Timolol eye drops are used for the treatment of glaucoma and increased pressure in the eye. This medication is part of a family of medications called beta-blockers. They work by reducing the production of fluid in the eye. This lowers the pressure in the eye. It may take up to four weeks for the eye drops to lower the pressure in the eye to a satisfactory level. Your doctor may have suggested this medication for conditions other than the ones listed in these drug information articles. If you have not discussed this with your doctor or are not sure why you are taking this medication, speak to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.
