Hi SHRama, Good job on this card, there are a few changes that need to be made.
Citations: the formatting is not correct.
You have :
It should be:
This is how it looks at the bottom of the page with your formatting:
1.↑ 1.0 1.1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lower_respiratory_tract_infection This is how it should look: 1.↑ 1.0 1.1 Wikipedia: Lower Respiratory Tract Infection
Great attempt at citations. We have not introduced this formally to PTG’s , so thank you for paying attention to directions.
By the way, I went ahead and fixed it on the card for you, so you can see proper formatting.
5 Great Resources:
You have two eMedicine pages listed. We prefer to have one site listed in a section. This is what I would do: Combine the two eMedicine pages. eMedicine: Enterobacter Infections | Pediatrics, Bronchiolitis Then add another site for your fifth resource.
- You could always add Wikipedia in this section or the What is section.
What is:
The New England Journal of Medicine-this a journal and should be moved to the journal section.
Symptoms: Mayo Clinic-Please combine like the eMedicine example.
Merck-Should read The Merck Manuals
Symptoms: UpToDate needs to be removed. I consulted with one of our physicians and COPD is not a symptom of Lower Respiratory Tract Infections. COPD is a chronic lung disease caused by emphysema or chronic bronchitis. It can lead to episodes of lower respiratory infections referred to as “COPD Exacerbations”, which are usually acute bronchitis or pneumonia. Please remove and replace this link.
What are the Risk Factors and Precautions?
Yahoo Health needs to be a via…Healthwise (via Yahoo Health)
Holistic Alternatives:
Please combine the AltMD sites
WholeHealthMD.com should be just WholeHealthMD
Please be careful with title casing. I noticed there are some you missed and are in lower case. I am going to go ahead and fix, since the majority are correct.
How do You Prevent:
U.S. National Institutes of Health..should be just that, no via included.
Clinical Trials:
Oxford Journals is a journal articles..it needs to be moved down to scientific and medical journals.
ClinicalTrials.gov- we usually do a general search on the topic and then list the search result page instead each individual clinical trial. This applies also to CenterWatch.
Related WisdomCards:
They are not formatted corrected:
It should look like this:
I changed the first one so you can see what it should look like.
**Additional Note: The spacing in between sections should be one space. Between Related WisdomCards and Ignore Below Section there should not be any spaces, it should all be flush together. I changed it on your card so you can see the example. Also, one final note. I noticed you changed the headers on some of the sections to fit the topic. I must extend my apologies. This topic was made on the wrong template and the headings should have been different. You did a nice job adjusting the template to fit the topic. If you ever notice something is wrong with the headers and topic, just give us an email at guides@organizedwisdom.com and we will change the template appropriately. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Elisa
