Great work on your first Card!! Now some notes to get it ready to be published...

Fast Facts:

-This section was probably added after this Card's template was created, so please go back and add some.

5 Great:

- Please change the WebMD.com lead-in to Healthwise (via WebMD). WebMD is one resource that you need to check every time for the source of their content as they use several licensed content providers as well as in-house writers.

Headlines:

- This section uses an RSS feed, generally from Topix (although Google News can be used if Topix does not have good results. Check out Step 4 here: http://organizedwisdom.com/OrganizedWisdom:How_To_Create_Your_First_WisdomCard

- Since these news stories you found are good, please add them to the Wisdom section. We are also now adding dates to the end of news/articles that we add. I did it for you on the first news link there so you can see how it's done.

What is:

- Free Health Encyclopedia is a broken link. Please check it.

- Drugs.com doesn't have any good content. Please remove it.

- Watch your spacing. A couple of these links are missing the space after the colon, before the opening square bracket around the link.

- Please change the Encephalitis Information Resource lead-in to Encephalitis Society.

- The FindArticles link is going to ClinicalTrials.gov, plus it's unlikely to have been a good resource anyway.

- This is a good link to add: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/medical/bacterial_encephalitis.htm

Symptoms:

- On the NINDS link, please change the link text to Meningitis and Encephalitis: What are the signs and symptoms?

- Please take the .com out of CureResearch's lead-in.

Causes/Complications:

- Please change the Healthlink link text to The Facts about Encephalitis: Causes.

- Please change the last lead-in to Cordingley Neurology.

Treatments:

- Nitpicky notes: please capilize the "D" in WebMD, please take the .com out of WrongDiagnosis and HealthAtoZ and watch your spacing -- missing the space after the colon.

- For HealthAtoZ, please change the link text to Encephalitis: Treatment and add a {{Scroll}} tag.

- Please change the NY Times lead-in to A.D.A.M. (via the New York Times) and the link test to Encephalitis Treatment.

Types/stages/Survival:

- Here's another good link: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/e/encephalitis/stats.htm

Prevent:

- Here's a good link: http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/encephalitis_meningitis/detail_encephalitis_meningitis.htm#103513083

- For the Beliefnet link text, it should say Bacterial Meningitis: Prevention and it needs a {{Scroll}} tag.

Wisdom:

- Please add those news stories you found, plus this one (it's sort of a Journal Article, but the writing seems "fun" so let's put it in Wisdom): http://www.nursingcenter.com/library/journalarticle.asp?article_id=728725

Foundations:

- That Meningitis Research Foundation link is a great one! Please add it to either Causes or Types as well.

Journal Articles:

- Science Daily is a better fit in Wisdom, as our physician guides really want hard-core science articles in this section, not "newsy" articles.

- Please move that Nursing article to Wisdom as well (I mentioned it above, too, as I came across it myself).

- Equine Encephalitis is a viral disease, so go ahead and remove it. For future reference, however, eMedicine is an excellent resource for the top categories (including 5 Great).

- Because it's the first time you've referenced them on this Card, please spell out Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And add the colon after the lead-in.

- For these articles that you're using a single article link, please use the date format that I showed you on the FortWayne.com link.

- The most important link to include in Journal Articles is PubMed. Here is the link you'll want for this Card: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?term=Bacterial%20Encephalitis&search=Find%20Articles&db=pmc&cmd=search -- the link text should be Bacterial Encephalitis Articles.

- The other two important links are JAMA & Google Scholar. These two and PubMed are some of the only times you'll ever link directly to search results.

Thx! Please don't be discouraged by the number of comments. You did a very good job, and I have no doubt you'll be creating top quality Cards in no time!
