She is a Founding Member of the ICPA (Institute of Coaching Professional Association) affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and is also a professional spokesperson, educating the public on elements of a healthy lifestyle.
An international keynote speaker and Professional Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the Global Speaker's Federation, Doctor Biali's speaking and consulting clients include government and health organizations, corporations, major media, a wide variety of professional associations, universities, and international women's organizations. A passionate expert on physician wellness, Doctor Biali lectures to medical residents at the UBC Faculty of Medicine and was recently invited to teach alongside one of her wellness heroes, Dr. Andrew Weil, at the Body of Knowledge Lecture Series at the Integrative Health Institute at Mount Royal University.
As a life, health and self development coach Dr. Biali encourages and inspires clients from around the world, from military leaders and senior executives to physicians, other health care professionals, performing artists and stressed-out moms. She consults regularly as a life coach for Cosmopolitan and other top-tier magazines.
In addition to her Doctorate of Medicine and Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Biali has received numerous academic and personal awards, including the Rakesh Goel Prize for most outstanding medical clinical skills, the UBC Medal for her studies in Dietetics, and more recently the Woman of Worth Award in Health & Wellness.
Dr. Biali has appeared on numerous television, radio and internet media outlets in Canada and the United States including Fox News, ABC, CBS, NBC, Global TV, CTV, CityTV, MSNBC, MSN, AOL and The Good Life Network.
Doctor Biali is also a Flamenco dancer who has performed on international stages. She had her own flamenco and salsa dance company in Los Cabos, Mexico, dancing for celebrity and other high profile audiences. She has given private dance lessons to singer/songwriter Pink and actress Tamera Mowry. Flamenco dancing remains an integral part of Doctor Biali’s life today and is often incorporated into her speaking presentations.
Her book, Live a Life You Love: 7 Steps to a Healthier, Happier, More Passionate You was released by New York’s Beaufort Books in 2010 and is an Amazon best seller in both the United States and Canada. She also contributed the foreword and other content to The Swap & Drop Diet, a best selling book published by Reader's Digest.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Biali currently resides in Vancouver, Canada, and spends as much time as she can in New York City when not traveling the world for business and adventure.
