2. From milk to dark chocolate
When you ditch milk chocolate for dark, you get a lot more flavonoids—antioxidants that can help reduce the inflammation of blood platelets. Dark chocolate also contains oleic acid, a heart-healthy monounsaturated fat. An Italian study found that a small piece (.23 ounces) per day significantly reduced the inflammation that leads to cardiovascular disease.
