Avocados are rich in vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin known for its antioxidant properties. Avocados are high in sterolins, which are said to help heal skin damage, such as scars or sunburn. Avocado is a great emollient and is often used in people suffering from psoriasis, eczema, and dry or aging skin. Avocado is beneficial to the skin either eaten, or applied directly to any itchy, red, or irritated area.
