12 Foods to Help You Focus

1. Eat Breakfast
When you're hungry, like after you’ve had a full night’s sleep, you have trouble focusing. But when you eat the wrong foods at breakfast, you can be just as foggy. Sugar cereals, white breads and rolls, jam, pancakes and pastries all give you a quick fix to get you out the door. An hour later, your energy level crashes and your sharp edge is dulled. Instead, grab a protein packed breakfast including eggs or nut spreads. For carbs, choose whole grain breads, a rice cake or unprocessed oatmeal sweetened with fruit or brown sugar.
