    Dan Williams PsyD, PA-C

Dan Williams grew up in the remote Southern Illinois hills, about one hour from Kentucky. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University, his Physician Assistant degree from Touro College in New York City and his Doctorate in clinical psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. It was not the degrees in academia that proved to be the motivator for aiding others. There is no better source for learning than life trauma and experiential learning. Too many individuals rely on the credentials to fill up their emptiness and tout these credentials as an ego extension.

Learning from Native American elders, traveling and discussing existential psychology with many professors, and focusing on life trauma gave Dr. Williams a much different perspective on what illness is and what effective treatment is.

It was through his own experience with sex abuse -when he was victimized at an early age by a cousin – that proved in retrospect, to be a motivator to not only help others, but also become a strong advocate of those who are victims of all life traumas. In 2008, he wrote Above His Shoulders” an autobiographical account of his sex abuse and how he survived emotionally, focused on giving back to others. He is currently completing his second book called, “Rant” - One Man’s Perspective on Healing, Politics, Religion, and Medical Atrocities of the Human Condition.”
