Dr Gupta possesses a unique set of skills as the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Director of the Residency Training Program at Loma Linda University. He believes his first responsibility is to care for and educate each of his patients. He has brought a broad surgical expertise and international clinical experience to the Inland Empire. He has been well recognized for his contributions to research in cosmetic surgery, minimally invasive techniques, laser surgery, scar control, informatics, outcomes assessment, and wound healing with funded fellowships, research grants, and paper/presentation awards from numerous specialty and national societies. He has published over 50 scientific articles and serves on several scientific review and editorial boards. His current research projects deal with ultrasound-assisted liposuction, minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, scar-less healing, and advanced technologies in wound care. -

He has also served on the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr C's areas of special interest include advanced breast reconstruction techniques, minimally invasive (short scar) surgery of the breast, cosmetic surgery of the breast and body, and scar healing. His expertise in body contouring techniques has been featured in the national magazine ANEW. Raised and educated in London, England, "Dr C" is a graduate of the University of London where he received his bachelor of science degree in Advanced Anatomy and Morphology prior to completing his medical degree. In 1997 , Dr. C moved from London to South Texas. Apparently this was "in search of a better climate". He continued his training in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio prior to his fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has also completed fellowships in burn surgery and burn reconstruction at Shriner's Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston, and hand surgery and microsurgery at the Indiana Hand Center.
