Project Cuddle works to prevent the abandonment of newborns in places like parks, trash-bins, and bathrooms. Most of the mothers they help have denied their pregnancies, to others and often to themselves, and are now faced with the birth of their baby; they have had no prenatal care, no preparation for birth or parenting and no resources. They are often scared to tell their parents or other support system for fear of rejection or other repercussions. Project Cuddle helps them through all of this, or simply allows them to give up their baby and walk away.1
