With overflow incontinence individuals do not feel the urge to urinate. The bladder never empties normally small amounts of urine are leaked on a nearly continuous basis. Overflow incontinence can be caused by weak bladder muscles or a blocked urethra. Overflow incontinence is prevalent in older men with an enlarged prostate and is rare in women.
