He obtained his medical degree at Columbia University in New York City and remained there for his general surgery and orthopedic surgery training. While in New York, he worked at Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium providing orthopedic care to the athletes. He continued his specialized training in foot and ankle surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

    Dr. Lee supports medical research and education by serving on editorial boards for the American Journal of Sports Medicine, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Foot and Ankle, and several other peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Lee is also active in humanitarian outreach programs, having served as an orthopedic surgeon in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Vietnam and Haiti.
