    Dr Gupta possesses a unique set of skills as the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Director of the Residency Training Program at Loma Linda University. He believes his first responsibility is to care for and educate each of his patients. He has brought a broad surgical expertise and international clinical experience to the Inland Empire. After graduating from McGill University School of Medicine in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Gupta spent nearly a decade in post-graduate training completing residency training and fellowships.

    Dr Gupta holds a PhD in medical informatics with expertise and active research projects in Internet-based health-care delivery, virtual reality in surgery, and technology assessment. He has been well recognized for his contributions to research in cosmetic surgery, minimally invasive techniques, laser surgery, scar control, informatics, outcomes assessment, and wound healing with funded fellowships, research grants, and paper/presentation awards from numerous specialty and national societies. He has published over 50 scientific articles and serves on several scientific review and editorial boards. His current research projects deal with ultrasound-assisted liposuction, minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, scar-less healing, and advanced technologies in wound care.
