Dr C is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is also an active member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation, the San Antonio International Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Texas Medical Society. He has also served on the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr C's areas of special interest include advanced breast reconstruction techniques, minimally invasive (short scar) surgery of the breast, cosmetic surgery of the breast and body, and scar healing. His expertise in body contouring techniques has been featured in the national magazine ANEW. Raised and educated in London, England, "Dr C" is a graduate of the University of London where he received his bachelor of science degree in Advanced Anatomy and Morphology prior to completing his medical degree. In 1997 , Dr. C moved from London to South Texas. Apparently this was "in search of a better climate". He continued his training in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio prior to his fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has also completed fellowships in burn surgery and burn reconstruction at Shriner's Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston, and hand surgery and microsurgery at the Indiana Hand Center.
