- Dr. Luis Saldaña is a practicing emergency physician at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and the medical director for clinical decision support for Texas Health's systemwide EHR. He coordinates the strategy and integration for implementing decision support tools for clinicians within Texas Health's EHR. He is also serves as medical director for Emergency Medicine Consultants.
Saldaña serves on the Clinical Decision Support Task Force of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society. He was an associate editor of the HIMSS guidebook, ImprovingMedication Use and Outcomes with Clinical Decision Support: A Step-by-Step Guide. He has also been active in the American College of Emergency Physicians, serving as a peer reviewer for theAnnals of Emergency Medicine, and is on the board of directors for the Association of Emergency Physicians. He received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School, master's in business adminstration from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business and a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from Texas A&M University.
