Bio

Lisa C. Kates, M.D.  is the president and founder of the Center of Dermatology and Skin Care of Maryland. 

Dr. Kates specializes in advanced minimally invasive cosmetic techniques under local anesthesia to provide a dramatic effect and restore a more youthful look.  Our goal is to provide effective, safe treatments with little or no downtime.

She attended Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, obtaining her masters in Human Physiology at Hahnemann University.  She received her medical degree from Hahnemannn University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.   After completing her internship at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Dr. Kates pursued her residency at the prestigious Cook County Hospital where she excelled at dermatologic skin surgery and laser surgery procedures.  After her training she rose to the position of Directory of Dermatologic Laser Surgery and Consultant Attending of Dermatologic Surgery.  While there she trained numerous residents.
