Switching from NPH to Lantus or Levemir - TuDiabetes

High Fasting BG - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.com — “Hi. I have been a type 1 diabetic for 34 years. Recently changed from Humulin N & Humulog to Lantus and Apidra and then to Levemir and Apidra. (Lantus didn't work well with me). My Levemir dose 18units morning. Apidra according to BG and carbs. Started Levemir on Wednesday. Fasting BG yesterday 15. This morning 10.2. It is way to high. Need Fasting BG to be 6.5 or lower. Should I increase the Levemir?? During the day BG is between 2.7 to 4.3. Please can anyone give some advise. Kind RegaView full resource at tudiabetes.com
