- Jason T. Nomura, M.D., RDMS, is the director of the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship and the associate director of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound. He also serves as faculty for the Christiana Care Stroke Program, Emergency Medicine residency programs, and the Internal Medicine Residency program.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Nomura focuses on point of care ultrasound, including education, quality assurance and research in this field. Dr. Nomura has lectured and presented research in point of care ultrasound at the local, national and international levels, and has published multiple abstracts and manuscripts. Dr. Nomura is board certified in emergency medicine and internal medicine with additional fellowship training in emergency medicine ultrasound. He obtained his medical degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. He completed his combined residency in emergency medicine and internal medicine at Christiana Care Health System in 2008 and his emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship in 2009.
He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Nomura is also a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
