Eventually, though, things got out of hand, I pulled out an HbA1c of 11.2, and Metformin was prescribed by my GP. Three months later, my HbA1c is down to 8.0 which I'm feeling pretty happy about. Today I went to see my specialist for the first time since starting the Metformin.
