Where do you inject? - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.org — “I don't know if I've just reachedthe point where the novelty of injecting insulin has worn off so much that I've forgotten that it may be shocking to others.... The other day I was in the bathroom at our community centre. And I laid out my needle kit on the counter and went into a stall to inject. This little girl --probably 8 or 9 -- was by herself in the washroom with me and saw the needles and I think she got a little scared. I just said to her, It's ok, it's just my medicine but she left theView full resource at tudiabetes.org

kids in school in canada and insulin injections - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.org — “wow, that is a long title. I was wondering about insulin injections at school in other parts of Canada. I know that the states has 504 plans and school nurses and that they have to give insulin injections, but I know it is not the case here in canada. We were told they are not allowed to touch insulin and if our son gets on the pump they are not allowed to touch that either. When I asked if we can get our son doing his own shots by next year (when he will have to stay for lunch) if someone wouldView full resource at tudiabetes.org

How do I tell if I have scar tissue? - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.com — “Hello all! New to the forums and have questions for you pump users. Ive been using a 6mm cannula with the minimed quick set ever since I first had a pump (about 7 years). The second issue is erratic bView full resource at tudiabetes.com

Insulin resistance and Insulin therapy - TuDiabetes

tudiabetes.org — “Hey y'all. I would like some advice. My endo started me on Levimir and Novolog a few months ago to help control my BG. I am already up to 60 units of Levimir at bedtime and don't see any difference in my fasting levels. I also was injecting quite a bit of Novolog without seeing a big difference most of the time. I don't have a lot of experience with carb counting or much of an idea how many carbs I can realistically eat. I do seem to be very insulin resistant. I know my pancreas is making enoughView full resource at tudiabetes.org
