Benzodiazepine withdrawal was absolute misery. Who would have thought that decreasing a medication's dosage from 2 to 1 milligram, or from 1 to 1/2 milligram, could have such severe side effects? But that's how it was - headaches, swollen or cramping muscles, interrupted, poor quality sleep - I had all that and more.
