Paragonimiasis is a common parasitic infection of Zoonotic importance affecting wild felids and domestic animals like dog, cat and pig. The parasites invade the lung parenchyma and remain inside the cysts without causing heavy damage. Mortality due to paragonimiasis is extemly rare.
