Robert A. Greene, MD is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He left there to attend Ohio State University where he attended college and then continued on to medical school. After completing his residency training in OB/GYN at the University of Louisville he went on to complete fellowship training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center where he first met Dr. Kiltz. Thus began a long dialogue and friendship that ultimately resulted in his relocation to CNY Fertility Center.
Immediately following completion of fellowship however, Dr. Greene relocated to northern California where he first established his own practice and then went on to become the Medical Director of the Sher Institute of Reproductive Medicine—Northern California. Throughout the intervening years, he continued to pursue research as well as build his clinical practice. His field of research has been on the different ways that hormones effect the brain and the central nervous system resulting in collaboration with neurologists and psychologists on studies involving PCOS, endometriosis, menopause, sexual dysfunction, sleep disorders, migraine headaches, epilepsy, bipolar disorder and chronic pelvic pain. As a result of his diverse research, he has also become a well known lecturer to healthcare providers in this field which has collectively become known as neuroendocrinology –what Dr. Greene refers to as the hormone-brain connection.
Dr. Greene has also authored several books to provide patients/couples with the knowledge and advice that they need to establish their peak hormone performance as well. These titles include Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility and Perfect Hormone Balance for Pregnancy. In addition to his books, he writes a blog called The Greene Guide and regularly works with magazines like Conceive, Shape, Fit Pregnancy, Pregnancy, Cosmopolitan, OK, Glamour and iParenting. Dr. Greene’s research has been highlighted on Dateline NBC, ABC News and he has appeared on various radio shows like Oprah & Friends with Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Dr. Greene has relocated to the Central New York area with his wife and daughter. In fact, they conceived their child through advanced reproductive techniques as well as the comprehensive diet/lifestyle changes that he and Dr. Kiltz advocate to their patients.
